Every year, an estimated 8 to 10 million metric tons of plastic waste enters our oceans, making up about 80% of all pollution in our oceans—the fashion industry is responsible for about 10% of that pollution.
THE SEAAV DIFFERENCE
We think marine pollution is a beach
We see a future for activewear without marine pollution. A future that’s more responsible and sustainable. So, every SEAAV garment is made with at least 80% upcycled plastic, every SEAAV purchase diverts 1 lb. of ocean-bound plastic from our shorelines, and we donate 1% of our profits to coral reef restoration. Let’s keep our coasts like we keep our fits: Clean and aesthetic, pls and thx.
Seaav is our shorthand for “seaing” a vision—a vision for the future, one without single-use, ocean-bound plastics.
The visionary behind SEAAV
Born and raised on an island, Mckenna has always called the ocean home. And since she was 12 years old and the Fukushima earthquake sent waves of waste from Japan to her local shorelines on the West Coast of Canada, she’s been on a mission to protect it.
Today, she’s the ocean advocate, founder and visionary behind SEAAV: A sustainable activewear brand. From ocean clean-ups to wellness events, Mckenna has built a community of active women and women-owned brands who care for the ocean like they care for themselves.
We’re in our wellness era—and that includes the ocean.
1 lb.
For every SEAAV garment you purchase, we clean one pound of plastic from our shorelines, diverting it before it ever pollutes our oceans.
80%
We don’t buy plastic bottles, we wear them: Every SEAAV garment is made with at least 80% upcycled plastic bottles—that’s as many as 20 per garment.
1%
We donate 1% of our profits to Coral Gardeners, a non-profit that’s revolutionizing ocean conservation by restoring our coral reefs.
Protecting our oceans, together
We make our activewear from plastic bottles.

We clean one pound of plastic from our shorelines for every purchase.

We’re a member of noissue’s Eco-Alliance, a community of businesses and brands who opt for sustainable packaging, like our biodegradable bags. Plus, with every package we buy through noissue, they plant a tree in the name of global reforestation. We like to think it’s a win-win.
